A notice is an announcement on your school's notice board. Use it for news that should stay up for a while, like a holiday, a meeting or a change in school timings. You choose who sees it, and you can attach a file.
Steps
- In the sidebar, open Notices. It is in the Messages group.
- Click Post notice.
- In Title, type a short heading. For example: School closed on Friday.
- In Details, write the full message.
- Under Audience, choose who should see it: everyone in the school, staff, students or parents.
- To add a file, such as a circular or a form, click Attach and pick the file.
- For an important notice, turn on Pin to top. It then stays at the top of the board and shows as Pinned.
- If you want the notice to appear later, set a date in Publish from.
- If you want the notice to come down on its own, set a date in Expire on.
- Check everything, then press the button at the bottom of the form to post it. To stop without posting, click Cancel.
Good to know
- You can also start a notice from the dashboard: click New and then Post notice.
- Parents see notices meant for them under Notices in the parent portal and the app.
- Teachers see staff notices on their dashboard under Notices for staff.
- If your school website is on, notices can also show on the website.
- A notice stays on the board. To send a message straight to parents' phones by SMS, WhatsApp, email or the app, see Send a message to parents (Broadcast).
- Only people whose role allows it can post notices. The school admin can change this under Roles & Permissions.
