Use the attendance register and reports to see who came to school and who did not. This helps when you check a class, prepare for a parent meeting or look at attendance over time.

Before you start

  • Attendance must be marked first. See Mark daily attendance or Take attendance period by period.
  • Your role must be allowed to open Attendance. If you cannot see it, ask your school admin.

Open the register

  1. In the sidebar, open Attendance → Register.
  2. Choose the class and section you want to see.
  3. Choose the month or dates you want.
  4. Read the register. Each child has a row, and each day shows how they were marked, for example Present, Absent, Late, Half day, Leave or Holiday.

You can also open the register from the dashboard with View register.

Open attendance reports

  1. In the sidebar, open Attendance → Reports.
  2. Pick the report you need.
  3. Choose the class and the dates.
  4. Read the totals on the screen.

The main Reports page in the sidebar also brings the school's reports together in one place.

Export the data

  1. Open the register or report you want.
  2. Look for the download or export option on that page.
  3. Save the file on your computer.

To download all of your school's data at once, use the school's data export. Your data is always yours.

Good to know

  • To see one child's attendance, open Students → Attendance history.
  • To look at a past year, change the academic year at the top. A past year is read-only.
  • Parents who use the parent login see their own child's attendance month by month, for example "20 of 22 days present".
  • To tell parents when a child is absent, see Send absent alerts to parents automatically.
