When you first sign in after creating your school, EduHost walks you through a short setup. This article explains what to fill in and what to do next, so your school is ready to use.

Before you start

  • Only the school owner can run setup.
  • Keep these ready: your school logo (a PNG with a clear background), address, board, the dates of your school year, and a list of your classes.
  • Setup is saved as you go. You can stop any time with Finish later - go to dashboard.

Steps

  1. Press Let's start.
  2. Under Name & logo, check your School name and press Add logo. The logo shows on your website, ID cards, receipts and report cards.
  3. Under Address & contact, fill in the Address. Parents see this on your website.
  4. Fill in the Board. You can also do this later.
  5. Under Roughly how many people?, enter rough numbers for Teachers, Management and office staff and Students. Nothing is charged on these numbers.
  6. Under Academic year, check the Name, Starts and Ends dates. Change them to match your school.
  7. Under Terms in this year, check your terms. Terms group your exams and report cards.
  8. Add your classes and their sections, for example A, B, C, D, or choose Custom sections.
  9. Under Add your teachers, type each teacher's Full name. Email is optional. You can also choose Import from a spreadsheet.
  10. Press Finish →, then Go to dashboard.

Next: students and fees

  1. Go to Students → All students and add your students. Add them one at a time, or import a spreadsheet.
  2. Go to Fees → Fee setup. The fee setup guide helps you make fee heads, fee structures and installments.

Good to know

  • The Set up your school card at the top of the sidebar shows what is left to do.
  • Subjects are added for you. You can edit, add or remove them later on the Subjects page.
  • To pick your institution type, turn modules on or off, or add holidays, see Choose your institution type, Enable or disable modules and Add holidays to the school calendar.
