Enable or disable modules

See which modules your school uses, turn them on or off, and ask EduHost support about ones you cannot change yourself.

Modules are the parts of EduHost, like Fees, Exams, Library or Hostel. You can turn on the modules your school uses and keep the rest out of your way.

Before you start

  • Only school admins can change modules. Other staff see the page as view only.
  • Your plan decides which modules you can use.

Steps

  1. Open Settings in the sidebar.
  2. Open the Modules page. Wait while it shows Loading modules…
  3. Look at the label next to each module. Core means it is always on. Included means it is in your plan. Upgrade means it is not in your current plan.
  4. Use the switch next to an included module to turn it on or off.
  5. Check the sidebar. A module that is on shows there. A module that is off does not.
  6. To get a module marked Upgrade, press Change plan or open Billing.

Core modules

These are always on, because the rest of EduHost needs them: Students, Classes, Subjects, Staff and Notices. The Calendar and Reports are always there too.

Some modules need another one first. Report Cards needs Exams. Payroll needs Staff.

If you cannot find a switch

Some features have no switch in Settings for your school. For these, ask EduHost support:

  1. Open Help.
  2. Under Talk to EduHost, write which module or feature you want on or off in What do you need help with?
  3. Press Send.
  4. When support replies, you get a note in the bell.

Good to know

  • Many settings inside a module have their own switch. For example, absent alerts are under Broadcast → Automatic.
  • To start your setup from the beginning, see Set up your school.
