A fee structure says how much each class pays and when. Make one for each class before you send bills to families.

Before you start

  • Add your classes first.
  • Make your fee heads, like tuition or transport. See the article Create fee heads.

Use the fee chart and setup guide

EduHost has a fee chart and a setup guide. They help you set up fees step by step, and show what each class pays. If you are new, start here.

Steps

  1. Go to Fees → Fee setup.
  2. Open the part for fee structures.
  3. Choose the class this structure is for.
  4. Add each fee head this class pays.
  5. Type the amount for each fee head.
  6. Split the total into installments. For example, pay once a month, or once each term.
  7. Give each installment a due date.
  8. Check the total for the year.
  9. Click Save.
  10. Do the same for your other classes.

Paying by term

Many schools collect fees term by term. To do this, make one installment for each term. Set the due date to the start of that term.

Good to know

  • The structure only says what to charge. Families get bills when you make bills. To make them by themselves on a date, see Bill fees automatically.
  • Parents see their bills and due dates in the parent portal.
  • To give some children less to pay, see Add discounts and scholarships.
  • To charge extra after the due date, see Charge a late fine.
  • Fees from before you used EduHost go in through Bring in old dues (opening balances).
