Auto-billing lets EduHost make fee bills for you, so you do not have to bill each student by hand. Each time bills are made together, EduHost saves it as a bill run. If a run has a mistake, you can undo it.
Before you start
- Set up your fees first. See Create fee heads and Build a fee structure.
- If some families still owe money from before, see Bring in old dues (opening balances).
- Your role must be allowed to open the fee pages. If a page says it is not part of your role, ask your school admin.
Turn on auto-billing
- In the sidebar, open Fees → Fee setup.
- Find the switch for auto-billing.
- Turn the switch on.
- Click Save.
To stop auto-billing, come back to the same place and turn the switch off.
Check your bill runs
- Open Fees → Bill history.
- Find the run you want to check.
- Open it to see the bills it made.
To see all bills one by one, open Fees → Bills.
Undo a bill run
Use this if a run made wrong bills, for example before you fixed a fee amount.
- Open Fees → Bill history.
- Find the run that went wrong.
- Choose the option to undo the run.
- Fix the problem in your fee setup.
- Make the bills again.
Good to know
- Undo works on the whole run, not on a single bill.
- Check Bill history after each run, so you catch mistakes early.
- Parents who use the parent portal see their bills under Fees.
- Discounts and late fines have their own articles: Add discounts and scholarships and Charge a late fine.
