Save your school's Razorpay keys so parents can pay fees online from a pay link or the parent portal and app.

You can let parents pay school fees online by UPI, card or net banking, so they do not need to come to the office. Use this when you want families to pay from their phone or computer.

Before you start

  • Your school needs its own Razorpay account. You get your Razorpay keys from that account.
  • Bills must already be made for the students. See Create bills.
  • To pay in the portal or app, parents need a parent login from your school.

Steps

  1. Open Settings from the sidebar.
  2. Go to the place where online payment or Razorpay keys are saved.
  3. Type in your Razorpay keys.
  4. Click Save.

Online payment is now on for your school. It stays on while your keys are saved.

How parents pay

  • In the parent portal or app: the parent opens Fees. Under Bills to pay, they tap Pay next to the bill and pay by UPI, card or net banking.
  • With a pay link: the school can send a pay link. The parent opens it and pays without signing in.

When the payment is done, the parent sees Payment received. The bill is paid.

The receipt

You do not need to make a receipt by hand. EduHost makes the receipt by itself when the payment comes in. Parents can see it under Receipts in the portal.

Good to know

  • The money goes straight to your school. EduHost does not keep it or take a cut of school fees.
  • If no keys are saved, parents see a message asking them to pay at the school office.
  • Payments made online show in your fee records like counter payments. See See dues and defaulters.
  • If you hold a result for unpaid fees, it opens as soon as the parent pays online. See Hold results or portal for unpaid fees.
  • To take cash or cheque at the office, see Collect a fee at the counter.
