Fee reminders tell families that a fee is due or late. You can send a reminder yourself, or let EduHost send reminders automatically.

Before you start

  • Bills must already be made for the students. See Create bills.
  • Reminders go by email and by push message on the mobile app. Families need an email address or an app login to get them.

Send a reminder yourself

  1. Go to Fees → Unpaid.
  2. Find the student or family who owes fees.
  3. Use the reminder option for that family to send the reminder.

To learn how to read this list, see See dues and defaulters.

Turn on automatic reminders

EduHost can send a reminder at these times:

  • When a new bill is made.
  • 3 days before the due date.
  • When the bill becomes overdue, and then every 7 days until it is paid.
  1. Go to Broadcast → Automatic.
  2. Find the fee reminder messages.
  3. Switch on each reminder you want. Switch off any you do not want.
  4. Save your changes.

Each reminder has its own switch. For example, you can keep the overdue reminder on and turn off the new bill message.

Good to know

  • Which ways a message can go (email, app push and others) is set in Broadcast → Settings.
  • Parents also see school messages under Messages from school in the parent portal.
  • If online payment is set up, parents can pay from the portal after they get a reminder. See Let parents pay fees online.
  • For families who still do not pay, see Hold results or portal for unpaid fees.
  • You only see these pages if your role allows it. Ask your school admin if a page is missing.
