The Accounts reports page shows a summary of your school's money. It includes the day book, which lists the entries made in Accounts. Use it to check your books at the end of a day, a month or a year.
Before you start
- Set up your account heads first. See Set up account heads.
- Reports only show what is recorded in Accounts. This includes income, expenses, transfers, and bank and cash entries.
- Fee collections show here only if your school posts them into Accounts. See Post fee collections into Accounts.
Steps
- In the sidebar, open Accounts → Reports.
- Choose the day book or the report you want to see.
- Choose the dates you want to check, if the page asks for them.
- Read the entries. Each entry was made under Income, Expense, Banks or Transfers.
- If an entry looks wrong, go back to the page where it was recorded and check it there.
Look at a past year
- Use the academic year switcher at the top of the app.
- Click Change year and pick the past year.
- Open Accounts → Reports again. A past year is read-only, so you can look but not change anything.
- Click Back to current year when you are done.
Good to know
- The Reports page under Accounts is different from the main Reports page in the sidebar. The main one has reports from all parts of the school.
- For fee-only reports, such as unpaid fees, use Fees → Reports.
- For a quick look at your money, open Accounts → Overview.
- Only people whose role allows Accounts can open this page. If you cannot see it, ask your school admin. They can change this under Roles & Permissions.
- Parents do not see any Accounts reports.
