When marks are entered, you can make report cards, add remarks, print them, and publish results to families. Use this at the end of an exam or a term.

Before you start

  • Marks for the exam must be entered. See the article Enter marks.
  • Report cards are made from exams, so the exam must already be in Exams.
  • If you want one result from many exams, see Combine marks from many exams first.

Make report cards

  1. In the sidebar, open the Exams group and click Report Cards.
  2. Choose the class and the exam or term.
  3. Generate the report cards for the class.
  4. Open a report card and add the teacher's remarks for the student.
  5. Check the marks and remarks for each student.

Publish and print

  1. On the Report Cards page, publish the report cards when they are ready.
  2. To give paper copies, print the report cards from the same page.

Show results to families

EduHost has a setting to publish results to families. When it is on and results are published, parents and students see them under Results in their portal and app. Until then they see a note that results appear once the school releases them.

  1. Go to the exam's settings and turn on publishing results to families.
  2. Check that the exam shows as Results out.

Good to know

  • Your school can hold results for families with unpaid dues. The parent then sees that the result is on hold until overdue fees are paid. Once they pay, the result opens straight away.
  • Families can only see results if they have a parent or student login.
  • On the dashboard, the Report cards quick action also takes you to print and publish.
  • For students who failed a subject, see Reassessment and compartment exams.
