After an exam, each student's marks must go into EduHost. You can type them in, or bring them in from an Excel file. When the marks are final, you can lock them so nobody changes them by mistake.

Before you start

  • The exam must already be created in EduHost.
  • Teachers can enter marks from the web or the app with their own login.
  • Your role must allow you to enter marks. If a page says This page isn't part of your role, ask your school admin.

Type marks in

  1. Go to Exams → Exams. You can also tap Enter marks on your dashboard.
  2. Open the exam you want.
  3. Choose the class and the subject.
  4. Type the marks for each student.
  5. Save the marks before you leave the page.

Teachers also see Enter marks under Your work on their dashboard, with how many marks are left. The Things to do today list may also show Enter marks with an Enter button.

Bring marks from Excel

  1. Open the exam, class and subject as above.
  2. Choose the option to import marks from an Excel file.
  3. Pick your file and check the marks before you save.

Lock the marks

  1. When all marks are correct, open the exam.
  2. Choose the option to lock the marks.

After locking, the marks cannot be changed by mistake.

Good to know

  • Parents and students do not see marks just because you entered them. They see results only after the school publishes them. See Publish results and report cards.
  • To add up marks from more than one exam, see Combine marks from many exams.
  • For students who sit the exam again, see Reassessment and compartment exams.
  • A past academic year is read-only. If the school opens a past year for correcting, marks can be changed there.
