The class routine is the weekly timetable for each class. It shows which subject is taught in each period, who teaches it and in which room. Use it at the start of the year, or when the routine changes.
Before you start
- Set up your school periods first. See the article Define school periods. If no periods are set up, you will see No period slots configured.
- Add subjects to each class in Subjects → Class subjects. If you skip this, the routine shows No subjects set for this class — add them in Subjects → Class subjects.
- Add your teachers in Staff. If there are none, you will see No teachers yet.
Steps: fill in the class routine
- In the sidebar, open Timetable → Class routine.
- Choose the class and section you want to work on.
- You will see a grid. Each row or column is a Day, and each box is one period. Breaks show as Recess. You cannot put a class in a break.
- Click a period box.
- Choose the Subject.
- Choose the Teacher.
- If you want, type the Room.
- Save the period.
- Do the same for every period and every day.
- To empty a period, open it and click Clear.
Steps: check a teacher's timetable
- Open Timetable → Teacher routine.
- Choose the teacher.
- You will see that teacher's week, made from the class routines. Periods with no class show as Free.
Good to know
- Use Teacher routine to check that no teacher has too many periods in one day.
- Teachers see their periods for the day on their dashboard, under My classes today.
- Parents and students can see the class timetable in the parent and student portal.
- If a teacher is absent for a day, see the article Arrange a substitute teacher.
