Use this to keep each student's papers, like a birth certificate or transfer certificate, in EduHost. You can add an expiry date, and EduHost alerts you before a document runs out.

Before you start

  • The student must already be added. See Add a new student.
  • Keep a photo or scan of the document ready on your computer or phone.

Add a document from the student profile

  1. Go to Students → All students.
  2. Open the student.
  3. Go to the documents part of the profile.
  4. Click Add.
  5. Pick the Document type.
  6. Choose the File to upload.
  7. If the document has an end date, enter its expiry date.
  8. Click Save.

See documents for the whole school

  1. Go to Students → Documents.
  2. Use All classes to pick a class, or keep all classes.
  3. Use All documents to pick one document type.
  4. Check the status next to each student: Valid, No expiry or Not handed in.
  5. Click View file to open a document, or Edit to change it.
  6. To add papers from this page, click Add documents.

To find one student fast, type in the box Search name, admission or document no…. Click Clear filters to see everyone again.

Expiry alerts

When a document has an expiry date, EduHost warns you before that date comes. This gives you time to ask the family for a new copy. Documents without an end date show No expiry and never send an alert.

Good to know

  • Pick one document type on the Documents page to see a list of who has not handed it in. This helps at admission time.
  • When the family brings a new copy, open the document with Edit, add the new file and the new expiry date.
  • You only see this page if your role allows it. Ask your school admin if you cannot open it.
