Parents can ask the school to fix a mistake in their child's details, or ask for leave for their child. They do this from the parent login. This article shows what parents send and how you answer them.

Before you start

  • Parents need a working parent login. If parent sign-in is off, they cannot send these requests.
  • Correction requests and leave requests come only from families. To change a record yourself, open the student's profile and edit it.

What parents send

  • Correction request: On their child's Profile, the parent taps Request a correction. They change the wrong detail, can add a note for the school, and tap Send the request.
  • Leave request: Under Leave, the parent taps Ask for leave. They pick the From and To dates, write the reason, and tap Send to the school.

Answer a leave request

  1. Watch the bell at the top. A new request shows as Student leave request.
  2. Open the request.
  3. Read the dates and the reason.
  4. Approve it or do not approve it. You can add a short note for the family.

Answer a correction request

  1. Open the list of correction requests from families.
  2. Open one request. You see the old value and the new value the parent wants.
  3. Check the change. If needed, ask the family for a document, like a birth certificate for a date of birth.
  4. Accept it or do not accept it. You can add a note for the family.

Good to know

  • The class teacher sees leave requests for their class and can reply.
  • Approved leave days show as Leave in attendance, not as absent.
  • Parents see the status of a leave request: Waiting, Approved, Not approved or Withdrawn. Your note shows next to it.
  • For a correction, parents see if the school accepted it or did not accept it.
  • Parents can withdraw a request before you answer it.
  • If the school cancels an approved leave, the parent sees Cancelled by the school.
