How teachers sign in and use their app

Help teachers sign in to EduHost and use their own simple screens for attendance, homework and marks.

Getting startedUpdated 17 Oct 20262 min read

Teachers use EduHost to mark attendance, give homework and enter marks. They can do this on a computer or in the EduHost mobile app. After signing in, a teacher sees their own simple dashboard, not the whole school's setup.

Before you start

  • The school must add the teacher first. If a teacher has no login, the school admin adds them. See Add users and assign roles.
  • The teacher gets an invite email. They open it and set a password there to finish signing up.
  • The teacher needs the school code, for example dps. The school office can share it.

Steps to sign in

  1. Open your school's EduHost sign-in page.
  2. Click Enter your school code, next to "Teacher, parent or student?".
  3. Type your school code and click Continue.
  4. Type your email and click Continue.
  5. Type your password and click Sign in.

On the phone, sign in to the EduHost app with the same email and password.

What teachers see

  • My day: today's periods, with the next one on top. If you are covering another teacher's class, it says so.
  • Your work: one tap for Take attendance, Give homework, Check homework, Enter marks, Class diary and Apply for leave.
  • My class: who is absent today and whose birthday it is, if you are a class teacher.
  • Notices for staff and This week from the school calendar.
  • My status: your own attendance today.

For a phone-friendly view, click Open Teacher app. It shows your day on simple screens, made for the phone.

Good to know

  • Teachers only see pages their role allows. If a page says This page isn't part of your role, ask the school admin. They can change it under Roles & Permissions.
  • Homework you give is shown to families.
  • Forgot your password? See Reset your password.
  • If sign-in says there is no account for your email, ask the school admin for an invite.
