Use this when you forget your password, or when a staff member cannot sign in. You can get a reset link by email. Your school office can also help staff, parents and students.
If you forgot your password
- Open the EduHost sign-in page.
- Type your email and tap Continue.
- On the Enter your password screen, tap Forgot password?
- Open your email and find the message from EduHost.
- Open the link in that email. The page Choose a new password opens.
- Type your new password in New password (at least 8 letters).
- Type the same password again in Type it again.
- Tap Save password.
- Tap Go to sign in and sign in with your new password.
If the link does not work
A reset link works only once, and only for one hour. If you see This link has expired or This link was already used, tap Get a new link by email or Send me a new link. Then open the new link within one hour.
Help a staff member reset their password
As the owner, you can reset the password for a staff member who is locked out.
- Open the place where you manage your school's users. See Add users and assign roles.
- Find the staff member.
- Use the option to reset their password.
- Tell the staff member to check their email or sign in with the new details.
Good to know
- A password must have at least 8 characters and at most 72.
- A link to set a password for the first time works for 7 days. A reset link works for one hour.
- Parents and students who sign in with a mobile number cannot get an email link. The school office can set a new password for them. They will then be asked to choose their own password the next time they sign in.
- Too many wrong tries can block sign-in for a few minutes. Wait, then try again.
