Parents and students can sign in to see fees, attendance, homework and results. This article explains how they get a login and what happens the first time they sign in.

How logins are made

When you add a student, EduHost makes the logins for that family. You do not need to make them one by one.

  • Parents sign in with the mobile number or email you gave the school.
  • Students sign in with their admission number. They can also use the mobile number or email you gave the school.

Steps

  1. Add the student using Add student (from Quick add or Students).
  2. Make sure the parent's mobile number or email is correct.
  3. Print the login slip for the family. It shows the login ID and a temporary password.
  4. Give the slip to the parent or student.

What the family does

  1. Open the school's sign-in page or the EduHost app.
  2. Choose the Parent or Student tab.
  3. Type the login ID and the temporary password from the slip.
  4. Tap Sign in.
  5. On the Set a new password screen, type a new password two times.
  6. Tap Save and continue.

They must set a new password before they can see anything else. It must have at least 8 characters, and it cannot be the temporary password.

Good to know

  • A parent who signs in with a mobile number cannot reset the password by email. The school office can set a new password for them. See Reset your password.
  • If more than one login uses the same mobile number, the family should sign in with their email or ask the office.
  • When a student leaves the school, their login closes.
  • If parent and student sign-in is switched off, families see a message asking them to contact the school office.
  • For staff and teacher logins, see Add users and assign roles.
