A grade scale tells EduHost which grade a student gets for their marks. Set it up before you enter marks, so results and report cards show the right grades.
Before you start
- Have your school's grading list ready, for example from your board or your principal.
- It helps to create your terms first. See Create exam terms.
Set up a grade scale
- In the sidebar, open Exams → Grade scale.
- Start a new grade scale.
- Add each grade with the range of marks it covers.
- Check that the grades cover all marks, with no gaps between them.
- Click Save.
Check the result rules
Result rules decide how EduHost works out a student's result. You find them in the exam settings.
- In the sidebar, open Exams → Settings.
- Read each rule and change any that do not match how your school gives results.
- Click Save.
Next step
When your grade scale and rules are ready, create your exams. See Create an exam and its schedule.
Good to know
- Grade scales and result rules are part of every school's Exams module. You do not need to switch them on.
- If you see "This page isn't part of your role", ask your school admin. They can give you access under Roles & Permissions.
- Parents and students only see results after the school publishes them.
- When you look at a past academic year, it is read-only.
