Use this when a student leaves your school and needs a transfer certificate (TC). You can also set up how the TC looks and cancel a TC that was issued by mistake.

Set up the TC design

Do this once. The design is school-wide, so every issuer sees the same certificate.

  1. Go to Certificates → Design.
  2. Choose Transfer certificate.
  3. Under Format, pick Eduhost's own paragraph or Annexure-I (CBSE).
  4. Fill in School name, Affiliation line, Logo URL and Signatory.
  5. Change Theme, Accent, Font, Border and Header if you want.
  6. Click Save. To start again, click Reset to defaults.

Issue a TC

  1. Go to Certificates → Issue.
  2. In Student, find the student.
  3. In Certificate type, choose Transfer certificate.
  4. Check the Next number. This will be the TC number.
  5. Enter the Date of leaving. Leave it blank for today.
  6. Click Issue.
  7. Click Print to print the TC.

The child comes off the register from the date of leaving.

Clearance check and approval

  • If your school uses the clearance check, EduHost checks the student before the TC is issued.
  • If your school uses the TC approval flow, the TC shows Waiting for approval. The approver opens Approvals → to approve it. You can print it after it is approved.

Cancel a TC

  1. On the Issue page, find the TC under Recently issued.
  2. Click Cancel.
  3. Under Why, give the reason, for example Issued in error / student returned.
  4. Confirm. The TC now shows Cancelled.

If you cancelled by mistake, click Restore.

Good to know

  • A cancelled TC shows Cancelled · not valid when someone checks it online. See Let others verify a certificate online.
  • For other certificates, see Bonafide, character and migration certificates.
  • If you cannot open Certificates, ask your school admin. They can change what your role can do under Roles & Permissions.
