What students see
Learn what a student sees after signing in: homework, the class diary, online tests and results.
When your school gives a student their own login, the student can see their homework, the class diary, online tests and results. Use this page to explain the student login to students, parents and teachers.
Before you start
- The school office gives each student a login. Students sign in on the Student login page with their admission number, or the mobile number or email the school gave them.
- The first time, the student must choose a new password in place of the temporary one.
Homework
Students see the homework their teachers give, with the due date. Each piece of work shows where it is: To submit, Sent, Redo asked or Marked.
To hand in work:
- Open Homework.
- Tap Hand it in on the homework.
- Tap Add photo / PDF and choose the file.
- Write a note for the teacher if needed. This is optional.
- Tap the button to send it.
If the due date has passed, the work is marked late. If the teacher does not accept late work, the student cannot send it.
Class diary
Under Class diary, students see what the teacher wrote for the class this week. This can include material, how far the class has got, and work to do at home.
Online tests
- Under Online tests, students see each test, the number of questions, marks, time allowed and when it closes.
- The student taps Start to begin, or Carry on to go back to a test already started. The clock keeps running.
- Every answer is saved as it is given. If time runs out, the paper is handed in automatically.
- Some marks show straight away. Others show only after the teacher releases them.
Results
Under Results, students see exam results only after the school publishes them. Results from earlier years also stay here.
Good to know
- Students see only what the school has switched on and published.
- Your school may hold results until overdue fees are paid.
- Parents see more, such as fees and attendance. Read What parents see in the app.
- If sign-in is switched off, students see a message asking them to contact the school office.
