Use the front desk pages to book meetings with visitors and to write down complaints or requests people bring to the office. Your dashboard then reminds you who is coming and which complaints are still open.
Before you start
- Your role must be allowed to use the front desk. If you cannot see Front desk in the sidebar, ask your school admin. They can change this under Roles & Permissions.
Book an appointment
- On the Dashboard, find Quick actions and click New appointment. You can also go to Front desk → Appointments.
- Fill in who is coming and the date and time of the meeting.
- Save the appointment.
When the visitor reaches the school, sign them in as a visitor. See the article Log visitors and gate passes.
Record a complaint or request
- On the Dashboard, click New complaint. You can also go to Front desk → Complaints & requests.
- Write what the complaint or request is about.
- Save it.
- To follow up later, open Front desk → Complaints & requests and look at the ones still open.
What the dashboard shows
- Appointments today: how many meetings are booked today, and who is coming next and at what time.
- A reminder when visitors are due within the hour.
- Open complaints and requests: how many are still open, and how many are urgent.
- Urgent complaints also show in Things to do today. Deal with these first.
Good to know
- Book the appointment before the visitor comes. Then the office knows who to expect.
- Check the open complaints every day so none are forgotten.
